Given the idea by a friend, REM Bicycle Center was started in 1989 in the basement of a one-room shop.
Paul, who had grown up as a mechanic working for his father's business, had a passion for cycling, mechanics, and helping others.
Paul also loved the benefits that bicycles bring to individual's lives and the positive impact that it can have on a community.
Quickly outgrowing the small room, REM moved to its current location at 804 Main Street in Jasper, Indiana.
Since opening, it has been the mission of REM to provide our customers with excellent service and quality bikes.
