The fitness club, now known as the Grande Ronde Fitness Club, has been around for over 25 years. In the summer of 1979 Western Bank was transformed into a fitness club. Locker rooms, the pool area and six racquetball courts were added when the bank turned into the Tri-Mountain Athletic Club. The clubs name eventually changed to Varsity Athletic club.
In 1986 the old mill creek near by overflowed and flooded racquetball courts number 5 and 6. At this time these two courts were converted into a weight room where the weight room is currently located today. The goal of the Simonis' has been and continues to be to make fitness fun. The Grande Ronde Athletic club has since changed names to what we now know it by, the Grande Ronde Fitness Club.

We offer many forms of group fitness from Zumba to Yoga and everything in between.
Come see our newly renovated swimming pool and try out our water aerobics.
There are a lot of positive aspects to group fitness.
First off is motivation.
When you workout as a group you have to answer to someone when you are not there.
In addition you have moral support from other class members encouraging you to reach new heights.
Second, is the class is led by a qualified instructor who will meticulously look for safety and who will teach you about important aspects of exercise such as correct posture, proper breathing, balance, flexibility and much more.

This class has a very mixed variety of training styles to get a full workout in just 30 minutes!

I began filling in for instructors that came and went at the gym.
