The fitness club, now known as the Grande Ronde Fitness Club, has been around for over 25 years. In the summer of 1979 Western Bank was transformed into a fitness club. Locker rooms, the pool area and six racquetball courts were added when the bank turned into the Tri-Mountain Athletic Club. The clubs name eventually changed to Varsity Athletic club
